Who’s getting excited about the start of the season?!? Us too!
With the season opener at Brands Hatch on April 20th looming, Ross’ 206 has come down off the ramp and work is well underway preparing it for it’s first outing since Rockingham back in October. The bellhousing / gearbox / prop and diff are back in and we’ve got nice new front brake ducts which should be far more effective than the old ones.
Also at the front of the car we’ve had a bit of a rethink on the cooling system and once we’ve received clarification on the splitter rules we may have a bit of a rethink on the current design, time pending of course!
The Tigra meanwhile now has a rather wonderful and finished dash panel that includes all the wiper system and screen demisters. The steering column and pedals have also been mounted…in fact it’s looking almost car-like…you heard it here first!
Work has also been ploughing on with Ross’ Formula 1 simulators. There’s nothing particularly exciting to show you, we just wanted to mention it so we could show you this photo of Ross in his horrifying looking new fibre glassing mask.
Finally the BARC South East now has a website which you can visit here. Designed by one of our favourite photographers Rafal Biniszewski (Fast & Focus Photography) it’s got all the relevant info and news you’d expect in one place. Brilliant. Plus if you look closely you can see Ross in the top banner so make sure you check it out, just don’t forget us! 😉
