Last raced in 2010 and since then largely used as a shelf, Brians Tigra has recently been uncovered and work is well and truly back underway converting the car for circuit racing in 2012!
The front chassis has been squared up and as you can see we’ve got nice new equal front wishbones (pictured above in the jig) In fact it won’t be long until we have the front suspension completely together and we can crack on with the rear end alterations and mounting of the body. Now, the question is….whose seat will we be fitting?
Over in the other side of the garage Ross’ 206 is all back together and ready for Snetterton. Erring on the side of caution the gearbox has been to Sean at Exeter Gearbox Centre for an inspection and a few slightly worn parts have been changed, thanks guys!
So, good news all round and we can’t wait to try out the new Snetterton 300 circuit on July 21st. Fingers crossed for a trouble free meeting as Ross is due to attempt the ‘3 Peaks Challenge’ the week afterwards, the idea being to climb the three highest mountains in Britain (Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike and Snowdon) in 24 hours. Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time!
See you at Snetterton!
