As you can see we’re going to some great tracks this season and we’re particularly looking forward to Doningtons famous Craner curves, quite a challange. Following last years succesfull TV coverage of the Mallory Park meeting this has been expanded to three full live broadcast meetings this year at Mallory, Snetterton and Donington. So if you’ve got Sky TV you can tune into Motors TV (channel 413) and cheer us on, we promise we’ll be making a big effort to at least look like we know what we’re doing!

In the garage we have just received our new engine block back today which has been away to be re-bored. After a little trip to Frank Andersons last week we also have our new steel rods to go with our new pistons so that’s everything we need to get the engine back together in plenty of time for Brands.

After much time spent calculating gear ratios we have also decided on our new gearkit for this season and accquired the donor gearbox so that should be a good step forward on the car too. After looking at the ratios in our old gearbox we can see why we were struggling last season as the gaps between each gear were truly massive, the new box has much closer ratios so Ross can actually have a decent chance of finding a gear relevant to the corner he’s trying to navigate which will be a big plus over last season!

The new gearkit – can you tell what it is yet…? 😉

On Brians side of the garage the Tigra is down to a completly bare chassis. The new drivers side door bars are finished and looking very ‘beefy’ while work is underway on new front suspension mountings as the old ones were radically different one side to the other from the cars previous oval racing.

That’s about all for this update then, expect some more news when everythings bolted together and ready to go!
